Missionary to Vietnamese orphanage PDF Print E-mail

One of our leader - Huyen was kind enough to take a detour from her family holiday in Vietnam to trek 15 hours to visit orphans and donate the $350 we've raised to the much needed orphanage. The faces of the children, their stories and the memories will stay with Huyen forever.

 

The photos here speaks for themselves. 

 

Below is the actual Thank You letter from a sister at the orphanage.

 

 

In English it reads..

 

"Thank you to Lien Doan Thanh Nien Cong Giao for helping the orphans. We pray that God will bless and inspire you to continue your charitable work"

It was a glorious day of perfect weather in good company. A day filled with tasting the best wines, cheese, chocolate and olives the Hunter has to offer. There was lots of laughters and smiles all round thanks to our social leader - Paul Vu who expertly planned and executed this day trip.

 

Also thanks to all of you who join us on this wonderful tour of the Hunter Valley. We look forward to you joining us in future adventures!!

Thanh Nien once again made our famous and delicious grilled pork skewer as well as chicken shish kebab to sell at the Community Mass at Bringelly on Sunday 5th May 2011 to raise money for an orphanage in Vietnam.

 

It was a slow start but with our cheerful smiles and happy spirit we pulled in the crowd. In the end we sold all our food and raised $150 for donation to an orphanage in Vietnam.

 

A BIG thank you to the Thanh Nien team for preparing the food and selling them. More pictures here
